A former professor of journalism and foreign correspondent for international news agencies, Neal Robbins is an Italian- and Chinese-speaking professional journalist, and the author of several books, including Venice, an Odyssey. In 2024, he wrote and directed the documentary film “Taiwan Undaunted”. A book on Taiwan with the same title is forthcoming.
His reporting and writing has appeared in a wide variety of publications, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The International Herald Tribune, The Christian Science Monitor and The China Times (Taiwan), and with National Public Radio and United Press International.
A native of Chicago, he has lived in Hong Kong, Taipei, and New Delhi, and now resides with his family in Cambridge, England.
